Dr. N. MATHIVANAN, M.Sc., M.Tech., Ph.D., serves as the Director of the University Science Instrumentation Centre since 1999. He has completed M.Sc. (Applied Electronics) from Regional Engineering College, Trichy (present National Institute of Technology), M.Tech. (Instrument Technology) from I.I.Sc., Bangalore, and Ph.D. from Madurai Kamaraj University. He serves in USIC, MKU since 1982. His area of interest is Computer Aided Instrumentation, He has completed a major research project and is collaborated with other departments in two other major research projects. He has published more than 15 research papers in national / international journals / magazines / conference proceedings. He is the author of two textbooks (i) Microprocessors, PC Hardware and Interfacing (2003), and (ii) PC-Based Instrumentation: Concepts and Practice (2007), published by Prentice-Hall of India, New Delhi.
